I am a cartographer by trade, and fascinated by the native tensions between flat surface and three-dimensional objects, spaces, and experiences. My art making is the complement to my work life. I start with relatively flat, 2D materials and render them into 3D. I am currently captivated by the difference between interior and exterior: that we live in a world of insides and outsides, dream life vs. waking life, feelings felt vs. thoughts spoken.
