122b. Sun McColgin | Pandora Studios 1180 Pandora St My current series of sculptures attempts to create instant artifacts. I take simple shapes, cut them up and reassemble them as a means of replicating millions of years of natural eroding forces. Through this artificial compression of time, I have attempted to create works with a false sense of stasis; what seems to be stable and immutable could tumble at any moment. Permanence is an illusion, but regeneration is inevitable. |
