My newest body of work is titled A Portal Series, Approaching The Looking Glass.  My inspiration has come from a common theme in children's books such as Alice in Wonderland, where characters are connected by a rip in time and space through a portal.  I have become fascinated with this naive idea that two spaces can be connected by a doorway, mirror or hole in the earth.  These images are the beginning. 

Lanie McCormick will have guests create original light drawings on a blank
canvas in the dark, using only a small amount of light.  These are lots of
fun to create and look at!  Come by and create your own original
compositions and self- portraits.  The goal is to create images of 100
different people!  So tell all of your friends!!  All portraits are for free
and each person can receive a free digital image through email OR purchase a
