Willow St I didn’t always paint. I drew. I studied neuroscience in college and got my Ph.D. in sociology focusing on Latin American demography. Feeling a void after all of this, I began to paint and never stopped. My paintings have ranged from detailed narratives in which I set a scene which includes an actor armed with curious props to stark psychological portraits whose details lie in planes of color. These days I am playing with wax, paper and thread and incorporating these elements into my oil paintings. I paint full-time and teach painting classes some evenings. |
