This year marks a decade I have been an artist living in Austin. I am still painting and drawing the same waterways and pools I've visited since 1998, but I've added some digital mediums to my toolbox.
By working in old and new mediums, I have the freedom to fit the best form to these subjects – people, their possessions, and water. These recent works add the idea of patterned transportation, as it is affected by our digital age.
I've been naming them like ships, where "S.S." stands for "Systems Support" or "Support Systems", indicating the social “network” it connotes.
