The last two years I have been working with foam insulation, intently studying the many different ways it sprays out of the can, as well as the effects of temperature, humidity, and sunlight.  The lightweight cellular material may gush out foaming with life or frothing at the mouth.
Sometimes I choose to keep its natural yellow color…unadorned and unpretentious. Other times I camouflage the foam under many layers of paint, disguising the truth. This past year I have interjected objects both found and hand made. Now the sculpture becomes a conspicuous anecdote, making statements about the past, present and future.
