Florence Ponziano creates inspiring mosaics from colored glass beads, recycled ceramic tile, and other items that people donate to her or she finds during her community work. The subjects range from portraits to landscapes. With no formal training, Florence has an innate talent and has been creating art for 4 years. Unique among East Austin, she gives her time to her community 365 days a year. She’s a streetwise lady from a tough neighborhood in Chicago. She has received numerous community awards including a commendation from the Texas House of Representatives. We call her “The Mother Teresa of East Austin”.
