My works depict loose narrative scenarios involving fictive characters whose personalities/persona/psyche are buried beneath their outward physical facade. Their costumes serve as a psychological tool aiding in their sole purpose, to strategically hoard the multicolored packets of energy generated by various sources within their environment.

The process I use to create my imagery involves a combination of drawing, painting, and printmaking techniques. After a drawing is completed, a silkscreen is used to add color. The resulting image is never certain. Screening the image creates new tones, textures, and form. After the screen work is done, acrylic glazes and gouache are used to help strengthen the composition.
Due to utilizing a process that allows a limited amount of control, the need to consider new ideas towards completing a composition often ensues.
The result becomes something I never anticipated.

A Gift.
